"Deep, dark, almost opaque purple-ruby. Restrained aromas are of pure blackcurrant. Juicy, rounded & plush blackcurrant fruit & black-cherries rise from the palate. Very fine tannins are ripe, but gripping, initially velvety, they gain a smooth, ripe, chocolatey texture. Mouth-watering acidity lifts a juicy black-cherry mid-palate fruit. The wine is medium to full bodied with balanced alcohol. The finish balances cedary structure with lingering juicy cassis." - 04/24 (ep) DCAMW
