"Deep, dark, purple ruby color. Aromas are of ripe 7 rounded juicy red-plum fruit. The palate is firm & dense with a fair grip. Concentrated bitter licorice on the mid palate is overlaid by graphite notes. The wine has fresh acidity & its alcohol adds a little weight to the palate. A fine structure shows notes of coffee & cedar before the ripe, red-cherry fruit really opens to reveal enduring, opulent, smooth red-fruit." - 04/25 ep DCAMW
