"Deep, dark, not quite opaque purple-ruby color. Aromas of ripe, purple damsons & raspberry jam have a meaty touch. The palate is initially an intense, juicy compote of raspberry, mulberry & damson fruit, before opening to reveal ripe black-cherry & dark-plum fruit. A fair cedary grip is accompanied by mocha & chocolate hints. Alcohol is at best balanced but fresh acidity leaves the fine tannins on the finish looking a little angular."- 04/25 ep DCAMW
