"The wine is a medium to deep, dark purple-ruby in color. Restrained aromas are of black-fruit (elderberry & blackberry) with a little lifted red-fruit perfume. The palate is quite structured & firm with fine, smooth tannins. Alcohol is balanced & acidity gives good freshness. Closed up & quite restrained damson fruit on the back palate is overlaid by graphite notes that enhance the smooth texture.
