"The wine is a deep, dark ruby-red color. Aromas are a ripe, concentrated red-plum & red-cherry fruit, through to prune, black-plum & a hint of cassis. The palate has good freshness & the tannins are fine & firm. Open, plummy red-fruit is backed by a licoricey concentration. Alcohol adds a little weight & an initially lean mid-palate opens showing dark-plum and Pontefract cake notes. Fresh acidity ensures a long finish." - 04/25 ep DCAMW
