"Deep, dark purple black color with a purple rim. Aromas are of well-defined, ripe prunes & damsons over sweet oak spices & vanilla. The palate is rounded and medium to full bodied, with balanced, slightly warming alcohol. There is some bitter grip from fine tannins, but this is pretty well balanced by juicy black-plum & damson fruit. The acidity is fresh.
