"Deep, dark, not quite opaque purple-black color. Initially restrained aromas open to show pure blackcurrant fruit. The palate has a fine, smooth, gripping but not astringent structure. The tannins have a silky, graphite smoothness, giving density without being grainey. Balanced alcohol gives some weight to the palate.
