"Intense black-purple color holds well to the rim. Rich dark-cherry fruit aromas are accompanied by exotic sweet-spice notes. A finely structured palate has good freshness & combines both a smooth chocolatey structure & bitter grip. The wine is medium to full bodied. Balanced alcohol leaves the finish a bit lean, but rich, dark damson fruit & chocolatey richness balance drying, toasty & cedary notes, stopping the finish being astringent." - 04/25 ep DCAMW
