Chateau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac FUTURES 2024 pre-arrival ETA: Autumn 2027

Expert tasting note: (2024 vintage)

"Deep, dark, but not opaque purple-ruby color. Aromas are of vibrant, exciting mulberry red-fruit, overlaid by cocoa-butter, ripe red-cherry & ripe red-plum. the palate is a seamless combination of perfumed dark-fruit & very fine cedar spices. Alcohol is balanced & acid is fresh. Tannins are fine, smooth & supple. The finish is long and structured with ripe red and black-fruit. A long finish shows lively, concentrated black-fruit with hints of ginger." - 04/25 ep DCAMW

Antonio Galloni, April 2025 (93-95)

"The 2024 Mouton Rothschild is embryonic. Dark, powerful and imposing, the 2024 is deeply intriguing, but also a wine that is going to need time to be at its best. Today, the tannins feel a bit brooding, the wine's mid-weight structure notwithstanding. The 100% new oak needs to integrate, but this is a barrel sample."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown, 2025-05-08 (93 - 95+)

"Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a little shaking to wake up notes of kirsch, black cherries, and fresh black currant, giving way to nuances of garrigue, iris, and crushed rocks with a hint of lavender oil. The light to medium-bodied palate is wonderfully elegant and fresh with ripe, fine-grained tannins and well-sustained fruit, finishing on a lingering minerally note.

93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, aging for 18 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Harvest 23 Sept to 5 Oct.
