"The wine’s dark, purple-red color is not opaque. Ripe dark-fruit aromas are overlaid by chocolate, mocha & coffee hints with graphite touches. Thanks to good acidity the palate shows juicy damson & ripe blackcurrant aromas. The wine is medium to medium full-bodied with nice crunchy, fine tannins. Slightly warming alcohol enhances chocolatey & licorice richness on the finish. Drying tannins are not astringent & good acidity lifts juicy red fruit at the end." - 04/25 ep DCAMW
