"The deep dark ruby-red color is not quite opaque. Juicy, ripe red-fruit aromas have savory notes. The palate is rounded & juicy. Fresh acidity opens red-cherry & soft red-fruit notes at first. As the wine opens the palate reveals black-plum fruit, bitter licorice & prune notes. Initially supple tannins gain mouth-puckering bitter grip on the finish. Alcohol is at best balanced.
