"The wine is deep, dark, virtually opaque purple-black in color. Aromas are initially toasty & quite savory before showing fresh red-fruits. The palate combines good freshness with a fine, chalky tannic structure. The combination of tannin & acidity is mouthwatering. There is an underlying juicy cassis fruit. The wine is medium-bodied & alcohol adds a little weight to the mid-palate. A long, structured palate with cedar & graphite notes has good grip." - 04/25 ep DCAMW
