A palate of great precision: fresh and caressing attack, a controlled build-up in power, with a dense and harmonious structure. A long, energetic finish, driven by fine tannins and a beautiful aromatic complexity.

Vintage Notes

The 2025 vintage is defined by extreme climatic conditions. Following a mild and dry winter that led to early budbreak, a warm and humid spring significantly accelerated vine growth while increasing downy mildew pressure. From late May onwards, a prolonged period of hot and dry weather set in, marked by several heatwaves with peaks reaching up to 42°C. The months of June, July and August were among the driest recorded since 1992. These conditions resulted in early water stress, promoting concentration in the grapes while preserving remarkable levels of acidity, supported by cool nights.

Critic tasting notes: (2025 vintage)

"Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Fine herbal spice, fine cassis, blackberry confit, some nougat, candied orange zest, inviting bouquet. Full-bodied, elegant, ripe dark berry fruit, supporting tannins, fine chocolate nuances, convincing freshness, very full-bodied and long-lasting, mineral, fine extract sweetness, shows great length, sure maturity potential, extremely promising." - Falstaff (98/100)

"So aromatic and expressive, with pure currants and mint, plus some chocolate. Fennel too. Wow. Medium- to full-bodied with very deep fruit, fine, velvety tannins and a long, fine texture. The precision and depth are impressive. More fruit-driven than usual. It grows on the palate and is compact at the end. Very cabernet in the end. Almost like St.-Julien and Pauillac in nature. A blend of 68% cabernet sauvignon, 27% merlot, 4% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot." - James Suckling (97-98/100)

"Deeply colored, all it takes is a single swirl to discover the red, black and blue fruits, smoke, cigar box, and tobacco. The palate kicks in with its vivacious, display of sweet, ripe fruits. The finish starts off strong and keeps on going long after the wine has left your glass. The picking dates in 2025 were paramount. They waited until after the late September rains to harvest the Cabernet, which added to the maturity of the fruits, while decreasing ABV levels, Picking took place from September 15 - September 30. The wine blends 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, and is aging in 50% new, French oak barrels. 13.5% ABV. pH 3.50. Yields were 30 hectoliters per hectare. The first nose reveals a beautiful freshness of ripe fruit: red berries (cherry, raspberry), black fruit (wild blackberry), and a hint of blackcurrant. With aeration, the wine unveils its tremendous aromatic potential, combining these fresh fruit notes with more delicate aromas of flowers (peony), sweet spices (fennel seed, star anise, fenugreek, mountain hay…), before revealing a darker dimension of graphite, pencil lead, and warm earth, bringing remarkable complexity. The palate opens with a surprisingly fresh attack, supported by a beautifully soft and caressing texture. The mid-palate is all finesse and delicacy at first, before expanding with restrained power and a superb structural framework. It is focused, full-bodied, dense, with impressive length and outstanding harmony. A perfectly balanced wine, marked by great precision, vibrant freshness, and remarkable energy. On the palate, one finds again the complexity revealed on the nose, with crunchy fruit, very delicate floral notes, and spices that beautifully enhance the finish.
