"Deep, dark not quite opaque black-purple color. There are wonderful licorice & ginger aromas hints of coffee & lovely spice, all overlaying lifted dark-cherry perfume on the nose. The palate is of mid-weight with lean, fresh red-fruit. Alcohol adds a little roundness to the palate. Fine tannins give good grip on the back palate where there are smooth, elegant graphite notes. The fine, long, elegant finish displays lively red-plum & cranberry fruit." - 04/25 DCAMW
