Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild Pauillac FUTURES 2024 pre-arrival ETA: Autumn 2027
Second label of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild. Labeled as 'Le second vin de Mouton Rothschild' for 1993 vintage only.
Expert tasting note: (2024 vintage)
"Medium to deep, purple-ruby with a purple rim. Aromas are of chocolatey ripe, red-plum & prune. The nose is harmonious with cocoa notes overlaying juicy, aromatic red-fuit. The palate has a fine, well-integrated spicy structure. Alcohol adds some roundness to the back palate & the acidity is quite fresh. There is a nice intensity of chocolatey notes & fresh mulberry. A long finish is fine, supple cedary tannins, finishing with coco-powder hints." - 04/25 ep DCAMW

"Deep garnet-purple colored. Springs with lively notes of Bing cherries and black raspberries, leading to suggestions of rose bud tea, wild sage, and pencil shavings. The light to medium-bodied palate is energetic with red berry flavors and great tension, framed by fine-grained tannins, finishing minerally.
67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, aging for 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. Harvest 23 Sept to 5 Oct.
