Frederic Cossard Domaine de Chassorney Gevrey-Chambertin Les Genevrieres 2021
A Pinot Noir experience like no other. Made from forty-year-old vines located in a specific area of Gevrey, the grapes undergo a unique process: after just two weeks of whole bunch fermentation, they're transferred to Georgian qvevris for aging. This results in a wine that is both compact and refined, with the time spent in these vessels imparting texture and complexity to its layers of brambly fruit and exotic spice.
