Chateau Moulin Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Rouge 2022
Expert tasting note:
"Deep, dark purple-red color is red at the rim. Opulent, ripe red to black cherry fruit aromas are supported by lovely, clean, cedery-oak spices. The fresh palate has a fine, smooth structure. Attractive high-ripeness dark-plum to prune fruit is overlaid by chocolatey notes & followed by juicy black-cherry fruit. Alcohol is balanced. The finish combines juicy dark-fruit & exotic, cedary spices that are crunchy & drying at the end." - 04/23 (ep) DCAMW
Robert Parker The Wine Advocate -
"The 2022 Moulin St Georges has turned out nicely, retaining its bright, vibrant signature despite the warmth of the vintage. Offering up aromas of cherries, berries, bay leaf and a deft touch of toasty oak, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, with good density and cut and a penetrating, mineral finish. It's produced from a seven-hectare, west-facing vineyard opposite Ausone that always ripens some 10 days later than Ausone itself." - William Kelley (RP 93)
