Jean-Yves Peron La Petite Robe Blanche Jacquere 2023

Jean-Yves Péron La Petite Robe Blanche 2023 is a pure Jacquère from Savoie that delivers bright Alpine freshness, texture and mineral precision in a natural-wine style. It is a white/orange-leaning cuvée with real personality, showing the cool, mountain-driven character that defines Péron’s best work.

Site & Identity

Jean-Yves Péron works in Conflans above Albertville, in Savoie, where he farms old vines biodynamically and makes small-scale, low-intervention wines. La Petite Robe is made from 100% Jacquère, with hand-harvested fruit, skin contact, and élevage in neutral barrels or foudre, giving it a very distinct Alpine identity.

Technical Tasting Note

Appearance: Pale gold to deep straw, with a lightly textured, natural-looking hue.

Nose: Crunchy apple, crisp pear, lemon pith, white peach, mountain herbs and a clean mineral edge.

Palate: Fresh, lively and precise, with bright acidity, pear and citrus fruit, subtle skin-contact grip and a juicy, mineral backbone.

Finish: Dry, saline and persistent, leaving a clean herbal-citrus impression with a stony echo.

Winemaking & Style

The 2023 wine is made from organically farmed Jacquère, harvested by hand, then given around a week of skin contact before pressing and aging for about 12 months in foudre or neutral vessels. No filtration is used, and several sources note no added sulfites, which keeps the wine vivid, tactile and unmistakably natural in style.

Buying Outlook

La Petite Robe Blanche is a very smart buy for customers who want a serious, terroir-driven Savoie white with both freshness and character. Its combination of limited production, alpine authenticity and food-friendly versatility makes it especially attractive for natural-wine lists and by-the-glass programs that want something distinctive but highly drinkable.

Food Pairing

It pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, white meats, alpine cheese and vegetable dishes. The wine’s acidity and mineral grip also make it excellent with herbed poultry, sashimi and lightly spiced dishes.
