Voirin-Jumel Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut, Champagne NV
Voirin-Jumel Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut is a Champagne made entirely from Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. The family domaine is based in Cramant and farms approximately 11 hectares across several villages, vinifying the fruit separately by grape variety and village. The wine is fresh, focused, and mineral-driven, with citrus, white flowers, orchard fruit, and a subtle creamy texture.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in color, with a fine mousse. The nose shows lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, hawthorn, green apple, pear, and cool mineral notes. With air, nuances of apricot, cream, toasted bread, almond, and light honey may emerge.
The palate is lively and precise, with bright citrus acidity, a firm mineral core, and a fresh, tensile texture. Mid-palate fruit and a subtle creaminess soften the mineral structure, while the finish remains clean, focused, and saline. The wine is particularly well suited to aperitif service, although its structure allows it to accompany light seafood dishes.
Professional Notes
“Super-fresh and lively, with a tensile quality that keeps everything focused and driven. On the nose, it speaks loudly of its Grand Cru origins, with bright citrus, florals and cool mineral notes. The palate is alleviated from its strong mineral grip by some nice mid-palate fruit intensity and light creaminess borrowed from Cramant. The finish is of medium length.” — Wine Solutions
“An aperitif Champagne that is floral, fruity, brioche-scented, and mineral on the nose, with an aromatic, ample, rounded, and long palate.” — Guide Hachette des Vins

Production and Style
The cuvée is produced entirely from Chardonnay grown in Grand Cru vineyards. Voirin-Jumel vinifies grapes separately by village and variety, allowing the individual parcels and terroirs to contribute to the final blend.
The wine’s profile reflects the classic character of Côte des Blancs Chardonnay: citrus freshness, white-flower aromatics, chalky minerality, and a focused, linear palate. Fruit from Cramant contributes additional mid-palate texture and a subtle creamy quality.
Different releases of Voirin-Jumel Blanc de Blancs may vary in base vintage, dosage, and lees aging. Earlier documented releases have included blends of two vintages, while some older cuvées received extended lees aging and low dosage. These details should therefore be confirmed for the specific bottle before publication.
