A cool, unpredictable season. Remarkable highs, sobering lows. Bordeaux’s 2024 vintage is a tightrope walk – but for those with precision and nerve, the rewards are brilliant.

While Bordeaux En Primeurs week is approaching, we remember the important persons of this iconic wine region. It was really hard to mention all of the Bordeaux VIPs, so we made this short list which shall be continued in the next part of this article. 

There’s a popular joke among sommeliers: “We had a vertical tasting that eventually went horizontal”, meaning that the tasting has become a party. Actually there is much more meaning in these two terms. Lets’ disclose it once and for all.
