Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou 'Madame de Beaucaillou', Haut-Medoc (FUTURES) 2022 pre-arrival
(DELIVERY BY END OF NOVEMBER 2025)
Grapes sourced from vineyards located in the Haut-Médoc; plots brought by Madame Eugene-Borie on her marriage and more recently by the acquisition of plots from Madame Fort-Pradere.
Expert tasting note:
"Deep, dark purple-black color is not opaque, The aromas have a lifted, leafy edge with fresh red plum & juicy dark-berry fruit. The palate is mouth-watering & shows crunchy, gripping tannins from the outset. Dark-fruit becomes a bitter black-licorice core. Warming alcohol is balance by rich fruit. The finish displays juicy elderberry fruit with plenty of exotic spice notes, finishing with drying cedariness." - 04/23 (ep) DCAMW
Robert Parker The Wine Advocate -
"The 2022 Madame de Beaucaillou offers up aromas of dark berries, plums and pencil shavings, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy palate that's quite rich and concentrated, with a juicy core of fruit framed by youthfully chewy tannins. It's a blend of 66% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot." - William Kelley (RP 89-91)
