Domaine DUJAC Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes 1er Cru 2022

Domaine DUJAC Gevrey Chambertin Les Combottes 1er Cru is a remarkable expression of this renowned Premier Cru vineyard. It captures the unique character of Gevrey Chambertin with precision. With its deep red hue, this wine offers a bouquet of red berries, violets, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, it unveils layers of complexity and a finely tuned structure. This Premier Cru is a testament to Domaine DUJAC's dedication to crafting wines of exceptional quality and elegance.

Vineyard notes:

"Les Combottes, a lieu-dit south of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, lies halfway up the hill, just below the steep incline of Les Monts Luisants, in a steeply sloping area (5–6%). Ranging in altitude from 271 to 282 meters, this lieu-dit faces due east. The soil changes from east to west. In the eastern part of the plot, the reddish-brown soil is 40 to 50 cm thick, containing angular-to-rounded limestone fragments. In the western part of the lieu-dit, the soil is rich in fine angular limestone gravel. The substratum underlying Les Combottes is ocher-colored crinoidal limestone (calcaire à Entroques), rich in debris from marine organisms. To the west, this layer is overlain by bedded limestone scree (grèzes litées), covering the upper part of the slope. This Comblanchien limestone scree is composed of fine angular gravel."
