Opus One 2007 is a wine that can't help but capture your attention. Open, generous, expressive, and full-bodied on the palate. It tastes perfectly, and compared to Bordeaux 2007, it's simply fantastic, not a bland, greenish substance. 

After another tasting of Olivier Collin wines, I came out with so many impressions and reflections that I wanted to write them down and form my own view on the style of Champagne from this estate.

When I say old school, I mean the academic approach and style of wine that Roberto Conterno strives to maintain. It's slowly changing, but loyalty to family traditions is in his blood.
